The World’s Top 10 Most Expensive Cell Phones

If you take your phone out of your pocket right now (or you are reading this article on your phone), looking at it, you probably think your cell was too expensive when you got it. Even if you got a contract that lowers the price, the amount you pay each month might make you reconsider ever using a smartphone again.

When you see the most expensive phones in the world, you won’t feel too bad about the fact that your iPhone cost a few hundred dollars. There are ten phones that were produced that cost well over six figures, with some of them costing more than $1 million each. Unless you own several businesses, it would be almost impossible to spend $1 million on phone bills in a lifetime.

#10 – iPhone Princess Plus ($170,400)
This iPhone may have “princess” in its name, but it would be OK for guys to have one of these. The name princess actually comes from the way that the diamonds on the phone are cut. All in all, there are 318 diamonds on the exterior of this iPhone with 138 of them being a princess cut.

The phone comes with a total of 17.75 carats in diamonds alone, but they didn’t stop there. There is also 18 karat white gold trim on the phone, because why not? At a price tag of $170,400, it doesn’t even come close to the other phones on the list, but still is more expensive than any phone you’ve probably ever seen in person.

#9 – Savelli Smartphone ($250,000)

There is nothing really too special about what a Savelli Smartphone can do, but the design of the outside is what sells it. Each of the Savelli phones come with 18 karat gold and any jewel that you want encrusted into the side.

If diamonds aren’t enough, there are other finishes that you can choose for the phone. If you would rather have exotic animal skin like a python or an iguana, then you can get that added, too. Smartphones and dead animals don’t usually go together, but when they do the price tag is ridiculously high.

#8 – Black Diamond VIPN Smartphone ($300,000)

The Black Diamond is not the fanciest looking phone on the list, but the phone is still the eighth priciest in the world. There are only two diamonds on this one, with a larger one on the back and a smaller one on the stick up front.

Remember those navigation sticks? The ones that we used to use on our Blackberry phones before we all made the switch to Apple or Android? Those are still used on the Black Diamond, and it is still more expensive than common phones. I guess the largest selling point would be the fancy mirror that is essentially indestructible, but it still might not be worth $300,000 to most people out there.

#7 – Vertu Signature Cobra ($310,000)

The Vertu Signature Cobra may be one of the most unique looking phones on the list. With only eight produced in the entire world, there is a snake that wraps itself around the the front edge. You may be thinking, that sounds neat and all but how could a snake phone possibly cost that much money?

Well the snake is not just some plastic one, it is made from a pear cut diamond and for some odd reason wears a white diamond earring. The eyes are also made from small emeralds and there are nearly 500 rubies on the body of the snake. Eight people had to ask themselves how much a jewel encrusted snake phone was worth to them and thought “Yeah, I’m gonna pull the trigger on this one.”

#6 – Gresso Luxor Las Vegas Jackpot ($1 Million

For thaEven more rare than the crazy jewel snake phone is the Las Vegas Jackpot. There were only three of these bad boys made by Gresso and they don’t really have a distinct feature like a snake. You will notice the gold trim on the phone with a wooden panel on the back. It seems

pretty cool, but some might question the $1 million price tag.

for that price, one call from that phone better send an airplane to pick you up at no charge and take you to Las Vegas for a night of gambling. You have to be a real high roller to afford this phone in the first place, so they might actually be willing to make that a feature for you if you so desire.

#5 – Diamond Crypto Smartphone ($1.3 Million)

This is not the best looking smartphone in all of the world, but it will get the job done. You also don’t have to worry about having your information stolen since the security on this phone is top of the line. What really makes this worth $1.3 million is the huge diamonds that surround the outside of the phone.

In total, there are 50 diamonds that make up the exterior of the phone that Peter Aloisson designed. Without the diamonds, this phone would probably cost around $600 tops, but who in their right mind wants a phone without diamonds all over it?

#4 – GoldVish Le Million ($1.3 Million)

The Le Million may be the most over the top looking phone on the list. The entire thing (with the exception of the screen) is made of 18 karat white gold. You won’t even see most of the gold except for the buttons because the phone is covered in 120 karat diamonds.

There is actually a fair exclusively for millionaires where lavish items are bought and sold by vendors. This was the most expensive phone transaction at this fair and it happened in 2006. A Russian businessman laid his eyes on this phone and knew that he just had to have it. He ended up dropping $1.3 million on this beauty.

#3 – iPhone 6 Amosu Call Of Diamond ($2.7 Million

Everyone that has an iPhone knows that there is an Apple logo on the back of it. What makes this one special is that the Apple logo is made completely of diamond. That’s not the only diamond on this phone, either (of course). There are over 6,000 small diamonds total on this iPhone.

Not a lot of these phones have been manufactured— not only because they are super expensive and only a few people can afford them, but because they take a total of two months to make. All of those tiny little diamonds are hand placed, so the cost of labor is what makes up a good chunk of the price tag. And you thought labor at your local mechanic’s was expensive.

#2 – iPhone 5 Black Diamond ($15.3 Million

The black diamond is one of the rarest jewels in all of the world. Stuart Hughes was able to find one of these black diamonds and place it in one of his custom iPhones. You might be surprised (or not) to know that there are other diamonds that are on this phone.

Gold, diamonds and other stones that cost a ton of money make this phone super rare with only one of them ever made. A businessman in China saw what the Russian businessman did and decided that he and he alone must have it. Stuart Hughes got a call from the businessman and he wanted the phone to be the only one on the market, made especially for him. He got his wish and it cost him well over $15 million.

#1 – Falcon SuperNova Pink Diamond iPhone 6 ($95.5 Million)

The makers of the SuperNova are nice enough to set you up on a payment plan for this phone. The only thing they ask is that you pay $95.5 million for it.

The phones aren’t over the top like the rest of on the list in terms of hundreds of diamonds, but instead have one main feature. There is an 18 karat gold casing which looks cool, but your eyes will be drawn to the huge diamond on the back. Falcon embedded a pink diamond and that alone was the leading cause for the huge price tag. There are cheaper versions of this phone, including one in platinum with a blue diamond, but it still costs $48.5 million.
