Cops broke up a party that Sas was hosting at a Scottsdale, Arizona, mansion on July 3 because there were too many people, TMZ reports. The rapper reportedly then got into the backseat of a car. As the car drove away, shots were fired. Sas was hit in the back of the head and rushed to the hospital.

The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star could have easily been killed. Doctors told the outlet that Sas is lucky the bullet didn’t do permanent damage. The person who shot Sas has yet to be revealed.

Sas, whose real name is Lyndon Ahlik Smith, was hospitalized, but he quickly let everyone know that he would be OK. He posted an Instagram photo from his hospital bed, which was partially covered in blood because his injury.

“Bullet in the bacc of my head they said Ima be aight tho #PRAY4ME#PRAISEBETOALLAH,” he captioned the photo. He later posted a video to update everyone on what happened and thank fans for their support.

“Doctors told me I got a bullet in the back of my head, man,” he said in the Instagram video. “They said I’m going to be alright, though. They said that I got a thick skull.”
